The upper is constructed from a reinforced synthetic leather with additional thickness at the toe box and lateral forefoot — the areas that absorb the most impact during defensive headers, block tackles, and aerial challenges — providing a protective construction that maintains shape and integrity through the physical demands of a full competitive season at a level that lightweight attacking boots cannot. The heel counter is a hard-shell TPU construction that provides significantly greater rearfoot stability than the soft heel counters found in speed-oriented boots, supporting the planting and pushing movements that defenders execute during one-on-one situations and providing protection against the ankle roll risk that accompanies intense last-ditch defending. The insole uses a dual-density EVA construction — softer in the forefoot for comfort, firmer in the heel and arch for support — that manages the impact forces generated by the aerial challenges and slide tackles that characterize defensive play. The outsole uses a wide-base conical stud arrangement that prioritizes ground contact stability over linear acceleration, providing the secure planting needed for the isometric pushing and turning forces of defensive duels.
